Trinity Sutton (She/Her)

Define your experience/ creative practice/ background.

I completed 11 years of dance with a local dance company but sadly the dance teacher retired last year. I have participated in all my local theatre productions since year 4 and now I'm going to be participating in a backstage role for the junior production in September and October. I have participated in all my school productions since year 7. I just finished this year's production "We Will Rock You" about 2 weeks ago and I was the main female role.  I attended a NIDA program at the town hall early this year and it was all based on the technical side of theatre like lighting, sound, backstage, and stage management.

Describe your connection to rural Australia or to the Mallee.

My connection with Swan Hill is really good. I know so many people as my home town is small. It is so safe and homely and I just love it here.

How long have you been involved with Fairfax?

I've been involved with Fairfax since 2019 and I'm still going. I just love everything about Fairfax.

What is a favourite memory you have from Fairfax?

My favourite memory was probably back in year 7 when I joined Fairfax and we had a whole week of school to practice our performance for the town and do amazing activities with people in my school that participated. I loved how creative we got and we would do silly things to brighten up our day and we didn't judge anyone.

What is something that you learned from Fairfax that you still use today?

I learned so many things from Fairfax like how to be creative, how theatre/drama became my passion and interest in life, how to be strong and brave and not care about what others think, and how to act and be funny on stage.

What are you hoping to do in the future?

In the future, I want to move to Melbourne and have a career in theatre. I love everything about acting, singing, and dancing and I just love being with new people all the time. Ever since I started Fairfax it has shown me what I want to do in my life and I do not regret a single bit of signing up to Fairfax.
